June 10–16, 2024
Riding and writing enthusiasts will be in for an unforgettable experience that has been curated to enliven their creative spirits!
Jennifer Browdy, an award-winning author, veteran college professor of literature and writing, and lifelong horse lover, will guide participants on a noncompetitive, encouraging journey of skill-building and self-discovery, combining stimulating horseback riding with inspiring writing exercises and community-building for writers of fiction, memoir, and travel writing, as well as contemplative journal writers. Jennifer has offered lively writing workshops for adults at many international venues for more than a decade. Find out more here.
On the riding front, every day you’ll ride out on sturdy, sweet Icelandic horses through the expansive rolling vistas of western Iceland, or take lessons in the indoor riding arena.
On the writing front, you’ll participate in thoughtful, open-hearted guided writing sessions daily. There will also be plenty of time for sharing and discussing your writing projects.
In both regards, the workshop will be tailored to fit your needs and desires and customized based on riding skill level and interest, as well as what kinds of writing instruction and support participants would like.
Last but not least, you’ll enjoy delicious meals together at our beautiful guesthouse.
